Thoughtful, neuroaffirming occupational therapy for children who experience the world in sensory-different ways.
I’m a qualified occupational therapist with specialist experience supporting autistic children and young people, with a particular focus on sensory processing, regulation, and participation in daily life.
I’m also a parent of a child with complex needs including autism and ADHD — so alongside my professional training, I bring personal experience that deepens my understanding of family life.
I believe that children do well when they are understood, supported, and feel safe in their nervous system.
Ocean Sensory OT was created to offer thoughtful, neuroaffirming occupational therapy for children who experience the world in sensory-different ways.
My practice is built on sensory integration and sensory-informed care — meeting each child where they are, and shaping the environment around their needs.
Sensory-informed practice that understands how a child takes in and responds to the world around them.
Rather than trying to change a child’s behaviour, I focus on understanding why something feels hard — and making it more accessible.
My aim is to help children feel more regulated, included, and able to participate in learning in ways that work for them.
Support that helps a child feel understood, safe and settled — the foundation for everything else to grow.
I focus on understanding why something feels hard and supporting both the child and their environment to make things more accessible — so learning and daily life feel possible, not overwhelming.
“Children do well when they are understood, supported, and feel safe in their nervous system.”
The ocean reflects how I understand sensory regulation — rhythmic, powerful, changeable, and deeply individual.
Just like the sea, children’s sensory needs can shift from day to day, and support needs to be responsive, not rigid.
Ocean Sensory OT offers calm, specialist support for children and families — grounded in understanding, compassion, and respect for neurodivergent experiences.
If you’d like to find out how Ocean Sensory OT could support your child and family, I’d love to hear from you.
